LinkedIn profiles

It is time consuming keeping up to date with social media. However one of the most useful minutes we have spent recently has been updating our profiles on LinkedIn.  It is a good place to promote your experience, your capabilities and your point of view on industry issues. We are also beginning to post some of the campaigns we are involved in too.

The impact of these minutes has been quick. We've been asked to connect with 15 people over the past three days and received several calls and DMs asking for more information about MediaWise and our work.

We've also taken time to check up on our connections. Some of our tips include:

  • Connect with your colleagues and client contacts.
  • Only connect with reporters that you know well.
  • If you connect with anyone you have not yet worked with but want to, do include a personal note explaining why you are relevant.
